A lot of Forum software allows for linked images but how do you do this?
Firstly you need a free account on a site like www.vox.com or www.flickr.com if you are uploading a full size image add a watermark, or just upload a 100% sample.

Ok so the numbers for quarter three are out but what do they really mean?
At the November meeting we were told of a dip in sales, and that alamy have still managed to grow, how have they done that, prices fallen by competitive discounting, the number of images have grown so lets have a look!

All Alamy measures data has been active for 26 weeks, so year on year data is a long way off, over the first 26 weeks there were a couple of changes in July and August that has affected data, this Blog entry will show these and you can draw you own conclusions.

Here is a quick overview of real weekly statistical data, since Alamy started to do Alamy measures, and if you study it you will see the following, UCO's have been steady as have Views and Zooms, CTR is also a constant, and the credit crunch has not had much of an effect on the data as yet, Alamy measures are calculated from selected regular buyers.

In stock photography , there are plenty of isolation images, 'why so many' you may ask, and the answer is quite simple, Designers like Isolated subjects so they can cut them out with ease, or overlay text copy where the photographer has left Copyspace.

I first got into photography when I took it for one of my GCSE's, it had to be the only subject I liked during this time. I started to use black and white film at the beginning of the course and got to grips with the dark room processing, it took a few times to get the images perfect but got there in the end.
I think the first camera I used was a Pentax manual camera brought from a local boot sale, and along with buying John Hedgecoe Manual of Photography and various other books I developed my picture taking. I have also taken a HND in Photography, which has given me experience in having my images in exhibitions and the commercial side.
I like to photograph cityscapes and close up/macro, but need to save the pennies for better kit for the latter

The journey so far has been quite interesting and a steep learning curve for me having rediscovered my passion for photography, I first picked up a camera in the 1960's I would have been about 13 or 14 years old, there was a Flea market at the end of our local market in South London, I paid a couple of quid for a second hand camera and light meter from a dealer, I had saved money from my milk round and barrow boy earnings.
